PRSSV 60th Birthday
Welcome to our annual Parampara 2025 student showcase!
This year we celebrate the 60th birthday of the Pandit Ram Sahai Sangit Vidyalaya (PRSSV) Institute of Performing Arts and Heritage. PRSSV was established in 1965 in the ancient city of Benares and has been a registered charitable trust in the UK since 1987. Our teaching ethos is “learning through doing” and our students perform regularly, finding new ways of experiencing and making music.
Celebrating the 90th Birthday of our Founder, Pandit Sharda Sahai-ji
This showcase is dedicated to the loving memory of Pandit Sharda Sahai. We continue to seek his blessings.
PRSSV’s PARAMPARA
Provides a major platform for our students to perform to a live audience giving them invaluable experience. It also serves as an opportunity to showcase how Indian classical music is growing momentum in the UK. PARAMPARA literally means ‘proceeding from one to another’ and refers to the tradition of Guru-Shishiya (Teacher-Student/Disciple) passing on knowledge and tradition through the ages.
