A series of classes covering the basics of Odissi – one of the major dance forms of India which follows the principles of the Natyashastra. You will be learning directly from international Odissi dancer and choreographer Sushmita Pati. Topics covered include attention to dance gestures and the Anga Suddhi movements and rhythms of Odissi, and you will be learning a short dance piece.
The first 2 sessions will be practically orientated, and the last session will cover some theoretical aspects of Odissi.
